A growing $300 million community bank in the Columbus, Nebraska area is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer to help expand its commercial lending portfolio. The bank serves a vibrant local economy and sees significant opportunity to grow its commercial business. Commercial lending represents approximately 40% of the bank’s total loan portfolio, with a focus on commercial and industrial, CRE, and small business lending. The current largest commercial loan is $3.5 million. The commercial loan officer will be responsible for developing new business, managing and expanding existing customer relationships, and guiding commercial loan opportunities from initial conversation through approval, closing, and ongoing portfolio management. This is a relationship-driven role for a banker who can combine business development with disciplined credit analysis and sound risk management.
