We are seeking a Chief Credit Officer for our client, a financial institution with a large student loan portfolio. This executive role requires an extensive banking background and expertise in credit risk management. The CCO will establish and oversee credit policies, pricing strategies, and procedures, ensuring structure and direction for credit operations. They will lead credit model development, credit approval, and review processes, as well as analyze and present for approval, the loan loss reserve calculation. The position will head the Credit Committee. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CCO will also participate in the ALCO, Risk %26 Compliance, and CRA Committees, including involvement in CECL, stress testing, model risk assessment, and standardized reporting. It offers an individual a leadership role with high visibility and has a direct impact on the institution’s credit strategy. This role can work a hybrid schedule.
