Our client is a $300 million bank holding company that is seeking a Controller. This individual will be responsible for directing the bank’s accounting functions. They would need to maintain the bank’s accounting principles and practices and work on establishing policies and procedures. This individual will be managing all accounting activities including financial and regulatory reporting, general ledger, investment, interest rate risk, and liquidity. They will manage the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closes. They will also be doing the benefit programs and processing payroll. They will report the the bank’s Chief Executive Officer and also work with the board on various reports. The ideal candidate will have a banking background, but they are willing to train a college student or someone from outside of banking into the position.
