A thriving South Dakota community bank is seeking a professional to manage their Benefits and Employee Wellness Department as a result of an upcoming retirement. This would include designing and developing creative new employee programs as well as managing or revising existing ones. Essential to both is a strong understanding of HRIS systems to effectively analyze and optimize processes and to deliver actionable metrics. Also essential is an exceptional ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers. This individual will be accountable for driving benefit plan design, overseeing the 401K program and annual enrollment and making presentations to the HR Steering and Board Human Resources and Compensation Committee. This person will manage a team of 4. A successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant and progressive experience in benefits, wellness, retirement and HRIS and will present strong negotiation skills as well a solid track record in developing innovative benefit plans. A Bachelors degree is required. A Masters is a plus. Also desired (but not essential) is a PHR and / or SHRM-CP certification.
